Singles Finals Set for USTA Winter Nationals, Doubles Champions Crowned

The USTA Winter National Championships will conclude on Tuesday with singles finals for the 12s and 14s in Tucson Arizona and the 16s and 18s in Lake Nona Florida, after the gold balls were distributed for the doubles championships today. Only two number 1 seeds remain in the running for titles: G12s Stephanie Yakoff and G16s Gianna Pielet. Girls 18s top seed Chelsey Kung was beaten by No. 3 seed Sophia Graver 4-6, 6-2, 6-0 in today's quarterfinals, which were played indoors due the rain and cold temperatures in the Orlando area most of the day.  This was not ideal for the girls, who had played their previous five matches outside on the green clay Har-Tru courts. The Orlando forecast for Tuesday is similar to today's, which may throw a monkey wrench into the Tennis Channel broadcast, scheduled for 3:30 p.m. After the list of results below,  I'm including today's USTA's release with details of Tuesday's coverage.  The 16s singles finals are scheduled for 9:30 and 10:00 a.m. and, if weather permits, should be streamed here.
