Kalamazoo Slide Show

This slide show features the top eight finishers in singles and top four in doubles, as well as the sportsmanship award winners.

I have short videos of both singles finals that I will post to YouTube sometime this week.

Re USTA Bashing: The current team guiding player development has eliminated most, if not all, of the types of decisions that deservedly drew criticism in the past. Whereas in the past there were some decisions that would make you shake your head, now the logic of their decisions is pretty apparent. It seems they trying to strike a reasonable balance of results and potential. I might choose differently, but in reality they are probably right most of the time. We all believe OUR kids are the ones that deserve more financial support, more wild cards and the opportunity to be a hitting partner at davis cup. So we're going to be disappointed when they don't receive everything we think they deserve. Unfortunately most resources are finite. The good news is that the kids with the most talent and who work the hardest usually show enough progress reflected in their results to get the best coaches and all of the opportunities they need to succeed.
